Update Nov. 10

So I know I told you guys I would put up new posts in October, but I didn’t really do anything for Halloween so I had no reason to dress up. I have a mermaid make-up idea I might put up in a while if you want to see it. I know I blame my lack of posting on being busy, which is true, but in all honesty I just have been lacking all motivation to get anything done lately.

Anyway, to get to my point of posting I have good news. For my mom’s Christmas present my dad got her an iPad2 and wireless internet for our house. The internet thing would not be a big deal for most people, but seeing as I have spent the past 5ish years of my life living without home internet this is a gift for the whole family.  Needless to say I am thrilled!

I have been cast for the play I mentioned in my last post. The character I will be playing is Connie Carlson, the dumb maid. I am really excited; this is the first time I have ever been cast as a lead role. We are performing on December 2nd which doesn’t leave long for me to learn all my lines and blocking (that I should be done with already).

For my next post what do you want to see? Do you want the mermaid make-up tutorial, peacock feather earring DIY, maybe a photo shoot? If you guys have any idea please let me know (the more ideas I get the more posts I will make).

Update

I want to start with an apology that I have not posted in so long! I started school and got really busy, but that is no excuse for letting my life become the mess it has.  I am posting today! (If you get annoyed with my random lack of posting follow me here on Pintrest I post there all the time.)
I wanted to tell you guys that I love you! Yep basically that is my only reason for posting, but I also wanted to tell you guys that I might get to be the costume design director for my schools upcoming play! I am so excited that I can hardly sit still. Halloween is also coming up soon which is adding to this nerdy excitement. With all this said there should be tons of costume posts coming between now and November. After the play I will be going to NEW YORK for my birthday!!!!!!!!!!!! So there will be at least one post full of pictures and telling some of my stories.
The picture to the right is from the latest human video I was in. (I am the one on the right.) It was the very first drama To The King (our drama team) wrote unassisted. We had a blast and if you want to watch the video it is posted here

I hope you all have a great day and I love you!

Picture Frame to Jewelry Hanger

Recently I went to the Webster flee market with my family and got a picture fame to refurbish and use as a jewelry hanger for my room. I found the idea when just messing around on the web. So I’m going to try it.

Estimated time: 2 hours (includes time for paint to dry)

What you need:
·        * 2 colors of spray paint
·         *Picture frame
·         *Hanging wire
·         *Hardware cloth
·         *Thick ribbon
·         *Tin snips
·         *Pliers
·         *Staple gun (make sure you have staples, I had to go back to the hardware store)
·         *Hammer

The frame I got had some damage, but I think that it will be perfect. My first step was so paint the whole frame in black so the gold won’t show through once I'm done. I simply used black spray paint. Step two was to spray paint the frame with the second color you chose. Mine was called nickel. I just did a thin coating on top of the black so that you could still see through it just a bit. (If you don’t want the antiqued look you can just use one color, but you still need to do to coats.)

After painting I took hardware cloth and cut it down to fit the back of the frame using tin snips. Then using a staple gun I attached it to the frame. Some of the staples didn’t go in all the way so I used a hammer to make sure they were secure.

I ran I ribbon through the back so it would hang. Then made hooks from wire to hang my necklaces from.

The final product with necklaces and all (I'm sorry the picture isn't very good my camera battery was loosing       power and not taking good pictures )
